Sunday, April 28, 2013

On Sunday, April 28, 2013 Lyme Research Alliance will host its 2nd  annual Race Against Lyme 5k Walk/Run starting at beautiful Cove Island Park in Stamford, CT. Race Against Lyme is part of the organization’s commitment to prevention, education, treatment and research activities related to Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. The incidence of Lyme disease continues to rise in our state, especially among our children.

The 5k Walk/Run, timed to help kick off Connecticut’s Lyme Disease Awareness Month, will cover a flat 5k loop on local neighborhood roads, ending back inside the Park. Children will have a chance to race on a loop course of their own inside the park. There will also be a ceremonial one-loop course for Lyme patients.

The event will be held rain or shine.
A FREE shuttle bus will depart from Stamford train station at 7:55 am. and will return participants in time for the 11am NY local and express trains.
